Matt Wishes for a Man-Cave

Matt cuts the ribbon

“ This is way better than I expected! ”

- Matt, wish kid

Adopt-A-Wish Sponsor: Buffalo Wild Wings

Matt knew he wanted something that lasted more than simply a day or a week. He thought long and hard and decided his one true wish was to have his very own man-cave at his house.

Matt, a Vancouver teenager, retreats to his new man-cave and has spent hours enjoying the new digs.  His mom says the man-cave is a place for him to be 16 again and to escape the daily struggles of cystic fibrosis.

Themed with Buffalo Wild Wings colors, neon signs and sports memorabilia, Matt can lounge in his new couch and gaming chairs, play the vintage pinball machine, or watch the Trail Blazers on his flat screen.

Volunteers spent countless hours constructing the soda bar, building furniture, and decorating and setting up for the big celebration.  When the wish was revealed, Matt was all smiles as he entered his new man-cave.

Employees from Buffalo Wild Wings -- including their mascot -- joined Matt’s family, friends, and volunteers in a wish celebration catered by his favorite sports restaurant.
