Meet Danielle, our featured Wish Ambassador of February. An adorable 9-year-old, from Eugene, who loves the Oregon Ducks.
Danielle wished to go to Walt Disney World® Resort to watch Elsa light up the castle at Christmas time.
"It's the only time she does it, because you know, she makes it snow," said Danielle. "I thought it was really fun because we didn't have to do any of that medical stuff."
Danielle was diagnosed with a rare disease called, Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. A disease she continues to fight, today.
"It's a rare cancer that was on my pituitary gland," said Danielle. "It's a scary journey to be on, because you never know what's going to go wrong. But, I'm strong."
Danielle's wish experience became a chance for the 9-year-old to relax and have fun away from the hospital.
"We went on lots of rides, like the Pirates of the Caribbean. I also saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, Donald and Pluto," said Danielle. "I asked Donald Duck to make an 'O' with me in a picture for Oregon, and he did."
"I think wishes are important because they make kids happy," shed added.
Danielle is also a Make-A-Wish Oregon Wish Ambassador who is Wishing It Forward by sharing her story. To support future wishes, like Danielle's CLICK HERE.
