Mira's Shopping Spree Wish

Mira's Shopping Spree

“ I can't believe this was all for me! ”

- Mira, wish kid

Like all wish kids, 10-year-old Mira suffers from a life-threatening medical condition. She had a tumor behind her eye that eventually led to her getting a glass eye. Through the continued treatments and trips to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Mira continues to be a sparkling, outgoing young girl that is a shining inspiration to people around her.

Mira Shopping Spree

More than 400 guests at the Waffles & Wishes breakfast met Mira and heard about the challenges of her medical condition.  Then, on cue, attendees waved their magic wands and confetti filled the room.

Mira was surprised to meet several people that were going to make her wish day special, including her personal shopper from Macy’s, a makeup artist that was going to provide makeovers for Mira and her friends, and the limo driver who would drive her to all her shopping destinations.  Just as quick as the wave of the wand, they were on their way!

Mira’s shopping spree wish was nothing short of magical.  After receiving makeovers at Chachis Salon, she and her two best friends shopped all afternoon at Washington Square. They ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and received special products and gifts from Bath & Body Works. She ended the day with tears of joy in her eyes and said, “I can’t believe this was all for me!”
