Faith is a 6-year-old girl with a penchant for speed – speed that’s accompanied by twists through caverns and mountains, drops into tunnels and floods, before rising up into a 540-degree downhill helix. And that’s just the beginning.
Faith and her family spent six days at Universal Studios, SeaWorld® Orlando, and Walt Disney World® Resort, where she got to experience the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. She loved it so much she rode it nine times in one day. Her mom says all Faith could talk about was how fast the ride was.
It was the first time the family got to spend a vacation together since Faith was diagnosed with leukemia a year ago. It was also the first time in over a year that Faith has felt well. “We needed that time to be alone as a family. It was very special,” said Faith’s mom, Rachel.
She said the wish experience also had a big impact on their family. “It made me feel that we made it through the difficult time… knowing that we were able to go on this trip and see Faith feel well gives you hope. I definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. She’s full of life, which is good to see.”
As for Faith, she’s still talking about her wish and wants to go back to Walt Disney World®. “It’s still in her heart,” said her mom.
